Hello, friends! I am so happy to be back today sharing another holiday card with Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper's new Holiday Door Decor stamp set. This set has everything you need to create easy, festive holiday door cards. So much fun!
I immediately envisioned a classic red door for my card, so I started by die cutting my door out of Pure Poppy cardstock. I stamped the door panels using black ink, and hand cut some additional panels to layer inside the stamp lines for added dimension. I then stamped the door frame in black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder for some shine. I die cut the door handle and added a clear gloss on top for some more detail.
I then die cut the background using the Woodwork dies and white cardstock, layering them on top of a card base. I added a wreath from my craft stash to the door before adhering it and stamped out some planters from the Home Decor stamp set. To mimic the look of steps, I hand cut some strips of woodgrain cardstock and layered them under the door, stamping my sentiment from the Inside Greetings: Season's Greetings stamp set on top. To add some more holiday character, I added a pine border using the On the Border: Fir Branches die, splattering it with some white ink to mimic snow. A couple of Pure Poppy red bows for the top corners and this card was finished!
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out this project! I hope you're inspired to create some welcoming holiday cards for your family and friends this year!
The pine border adds so much charm to this scene.
