One Stamp Two Ways: Papertrey Ink's Ink to Paper Sweet Orange Holidays

Hello, friends!  I am so happy you stopped by today for these two cards I made with Ink to Paper's Sweet Orange Holidays stamp set.  I love stretching my supplies, so I decided to see if I could create two different looks with this stamp set.  Thanks to the beautiful detailed images, this was really easy and fun.

For my first card, I stamped my orange images onto white cardstock using three different shades of orange ink.  I then fussy cut these out because I wanted to eliminate any white border.  After doing a preliminary arrangement of my oranges on a piece of Papertrey Ink Enchanted Evening cardstock, I stamped some foliage from the Sweet Orange Holidays stamp set in white glitter embossing powder and some pine branches from the Tree Essentials stamp set in green embossing powder.  I also stamped my sentiment from the Just Sentiments: Warmth stamp set with white embossing powder.  I stamped some pinecones from the Framing Fall stamp set onto Dark Chocolate cardstock and fussy cut them to create some more winter interest.  A few blossoms from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp and die set finished the arrangement.  Some white splatters finished up this card and created even more winter interest.

For my second card, I looked to some of my favorite gouache artists like Sherry Lee, Roselynn Carr, Lindsay Brackeen to create this summer-inspired citrus card.  I stamped the base layer of my oranges onto watercolor cardstock used different shades of gouache to stipple the different layers, using my first card as a guide on where to place my paint.  I then stamped out the slices, using the same technique except I turned the oranges into lemons!  I added some pink blossoms and some fresh green foliage from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  I decided to fussy cut some of the images and stamp some directly onto the cardstock so I could pop some up with foam tape for dimension.  Before adhering everything down, I added a light wash of sky blue watercolor and stamped my sentiment (again from the Beautiful Bouquet set).  A few white splatters and some sparkly sequins finished this card.

I hope you enjoyed these projects; I had such fun making them!  Thanks again for stopping by today, and I'll see you again soon with some more fun cardmaking and papercrafting projects from Ink to Paper!

Holiday Die Cut Card Featuring Ink to Paper's Feathered Friends Mini Stamps

Hello, friends!  I spent an evening recently creating this holiday card featuring Ink to Paper's Feathered Friends stamp sets.  I'm so happy you stopped by to check it out!

I started my card by die cutting three circles out of white woodgrain cardstock.  I then stamped tree images from the new Winter Wonder stamp set onto Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist cardstock so they aligned with the three circles.  I also added some white ink splatters to add a wintery effect.

Next came my favorite part: embellishing with lots of stamps and die cuts.  I selected wintery images and die cuts from the following sets: Framing Fall, On the Border: Fir Branches, Tree Essentials, and Tag Creations: Blooming Indulgence to embellish the circle windows.  I chose white and green embossing powders to stamp some of the foliage, and added white dots to others to mimic snow.  I then stamped birds from the Feathered Friends Mini 3 and 4 stamp sets - how cute are these little birds?

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment from the Just Sentiments: Warmth stamp set onto Pure Poppy cardstock and adhered it over my last circle.  I added some sequins to the inside of the circles for a bit of sparkle.  It occurred to me after finishing the card that this would have made the cutest shaker card with some snow on the inside of the circles... I just may have to make another one!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll see you again soon with some more card projects made with Ink to Paper's gorgeous new holiday stamps and dies.  Have a wonderful day!

Holiday Table Settings with Ink to Paper's Take Your Place

Hello, friends!  I am so thrilled to be here today sharing holiday papercrafting projects with Ink to Paper's new Take Your Place Kit.  This kit has everything you need to create gorgeous handmade tablescapes... stamps, dies, gorgeous ribbon, twine, and even beautiful embellishments like greenery and authentic wheat stalks.  I had so much fun creating this Thanksgiving place setting along with my daughter - it was such a fun way to spend time together and get inspired for the upcoming holiday season!

My first project was the pretty pumpkin napkin ring.  Using the pumpkin stamp included with the kit, I stamped the pumpkin in light orange ink onto cold press watercolor paper.  I then used watercolor brush pens to add some quick detail to the image.  I then stamped the stalk and leaves using the same technique and added a "thankful" sentiment.  I then used the coordinating die to cut out my pumpkin and the two slots through which I threaded some beautiful chocolate-colored ribbon.  Some of the included wheat stalks were the perfect finish to this beautiful napkin ring!

My next project was the coaster.  The Take Your Place kit includes a generous pack of coasters, and my daughter had fun lending a hand with this quick and simple stamping project.  We used the Hello Pumpkin stamp set to stamp the center pumpkin, which we embossed in gold.  My daughter then used the Framing Fall Sentiments stamp set to stamp the greenery and pinecones around the perimeter of the coaster.  So fun and easy!

Next came our gift box.  My daughter and I die cut the Scallop Top Gift Bag from kraft woodgrain cardstock.  We next stamped the pinecone from the Take Your Place kit in brown ink, adding some quick colored pencil details for some interest.  We die cut some foliage using the Tag Creations: Blooming Indulgence die set from some watercolor paper we had painted with shades of green.  We then embossed the "Happy Fall" sentiment onto vellum and die cut it with the included tag-shaped die.  We then assembled the box, wrapping it with beautiful cream-colored ribbon and adding a single gold sequin for a bit of sparkle.  The included leaf ribbon (which is gorgeous!) was the perfect way to seal up this fall-themed gift box!

My last project was the placecard.  I used the Framing Fall stamp set to stamp the images to watercolor paper using light brown ink.  I then used watercolor brush pens to add pretty washes of color to the image.  A simple gold "grateful" from the Border Bling: Grateful Vines die was the perfect finish.  The details of these images are so beautiful that this would be a breeze for anyone to color, including kids!  I can imagine a fun holiday activity giving kids markers to color their own special holiday placecards.

I would love to hear your ideas for adding your own handmade details to your holiday table using this amazing Take Your Place kit.  I had so much fun creating this Thanksgiving tablescape, and I hope it inspires you to incorporate papercrafting projects into your holiday decorating.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Watercolored Die Cut Fall Card: Ink to Paper's Hello Pumpkin Stamp Set

Hello, friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I am here today sharing this watercolored die cut card featuring Ink to Paper's Hello Pumpkin stamp set.

You might know that I am a huge fan of vibrant color and die cutting, and I love how Ink to Paper's beautiful stamp and die sets made it so easy to bring these two elements together.  I started by stamping my pumpkin image from the Hello Pumpkin set onto watercolor paper (I used Fabriano Artistico extra white cold press watercolor paper) using Antique Linen distress ink.  I then watercolored the image using watercolor brush pens (I used a combination of Arteza and Zig Clean Color brush pens).  I then watercolored my florals and foliage.  For the leaves, I used Ink to Paper's Tag Creations: Blooming Indulgence die set to cut the leaves out of watercolor paper.  I then used the same watercolor brush pens to add watercolored details.  For the blooms, I used Ink to Paper's Graceful Wings stamp set.  I stamped my images onto watercolor paper, then used the pens again over the ink to add more depth and dimension to the flowers.

To assemble my card, I traced an oval shape onto a piece of A2-sized watercolor paper.  I watercolored the interior of the oval (again using brush pens), then stamped some foliage from Ink to Paper's Framing Fall Sentiments onto the oval.  When it was dry, I embossed my "Hello There" sentiment from the Shutter It Sentiments set in gold.  I then assembled my watercolored pieces around the oval.  A few gold sequins and this card was finished!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Thanks again for stopping by, and I'll see you again soon with another Ink to Paper project!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember: Stitched Card Using The Boo Crew Stamp

Happy STAMPtember, everybody!  This is the best month of the year for stampers, and I am so thrilled you stopped by today as a part of the celebration!

How cute is the new Boo Crew Stamp set?  As soon as I saw it, I knew I was going to stitch that sentiment!  I started out my stamping the sentiment in black on black cardstock (yes, you can see it! *wink).  I cut a quick mask and masked off the sentiment before splattering on some white paint to create a night sky.

I then removed the mask and poked holes along the stamped sentiment.  I stitched the image using 3 strands of embroidery floss.   I love how you can switch up the colors and really make the words pop against a dark background!

I then chose a few little Halloween cuties and colored them using Copic markers.  After fussy cutting them and cutting a grass border using Lawn Fawn's Grassy Hillside borders, all that was left to do was assemble the card.  I used some foam tape to pop up the grass and other images.  I stamped some additional sentiments onto orange cardstock and added a few clear sequins for some sparkle.

I am so inspired by the products in this fantastic new release, and I hope you are, too!  And even better, I am so excited to be able to offer you this exclusive promo... how GREAT is this Hope die???
