MFT & Friends September 2018 Release

Hello, crafty friends!  I am so thrilled and honored to be joining My Favorite Things and their MFT & Friends feature for the September 2018 release.  This is such a great way to see different and inspiring takes on all of the fun new products.  I can't wait to see what everyone has created!

Anyone familiar with my work knows that I love flowers, so it was no surprise that I was immediately drawn to the new Wildflowers stamp set.  This set contains a great array of pretty floral  images, so I knew I wanted to create a bright and colorful stitched garden scene.

I started out my stamping out my garden, masking the images as I went along.  I then did some Distress Ink blending in Twisted Citron and Tumbled Glass to create my background.  I cut out my panel using my (favorite and most-used dies of all time) A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax.

I then colored my images with bright and colorful Copic markers, creating a rainbow of pretty blooms.

I then poked holes around the images and stitched the outlines with coordinating thread colors.  I love the bold and graphic nature of these flowers because they are PERFECT for stitching!

I then stitched around the border of the panel.  The awesome "You're My Sidekick for Life" sentiment comes from the new Sassy Pants Best Friends stamp set.  This set has the most awesome sentiments for sending cards to your besties.  Some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and the card was finished!

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Be sure to stop by the MFT Stamps Blog for tons of inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Links to the supplies I used are below.  I participate in the My Favorite Things affiliate program, which means that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you when products are purchased through the links I share.  Thank you for your support!

  4. Leigh, do you just eyeball it when you are poking holes to do stitching? They look so evenly spaced.
